Builder product updates Q1

In 2024, we helped more builders, subcontractors, and suppliers connect and price their tenders than any other platform in Australia:
Over 45,000 subcontractors actively used E1’s Network, keeping their profiles up to date and helping builders maintain their address books and find the right expertise faster.
22,334 tenders, valued at a record $321 billion, was listed on the E1 platform—highlighting the resilience of Australia’s construction industry.
The 3 largest sectors contributing to this record tender value listed on platform were Residential (15%), Education (14%), and Commercial (11%).
Despite a shorter working quarter, the team delivered some key improvements across the builder platform:
The new ‘Not Accessed’ status on the Invites & Responses tab shows when RFQ recipients haven’t downloaded package documents. This enhances visibility into document engagement and quoting status. Quickly filter by ‘Not Accessed’ to focus follow-ups where they’re needed most.
The enhanced functionality will actively search for up to 100 potential connections, ensuring you see all available matches without bottlenecks. This improvement makes it easier than ever to build connections quickly and efficiently.
Subbie profiles now include ‘primary core trades’ to improve matching when you search the E1 Network. This enhancement ensures that your search results display subbies most relevant to the trades you need, making the selection process more efficient.
Network users now have early access to the first iteration of a new unified invite experience. Our Beta Invite Experience enables users to access the Network in addition to Address Book Subbies within an optimised invite flow. This marks the first step towards streamlining the subbie selection process, making it easier to leverage the E1 Network to help support coverage goals.

Unified Invitation Experience:
Make faster, more informed decisions with a unified invitation experience. Streamline your subbie selection decisions in a single workflow, surfacing both your Address Book and the E1 Network subbies. You’ll also be able to quickly identify gaps in coverage and track progress with our new Package Panel.
With continued pressure on margins and estimators needing broader coverage in less time, our focus in 2025 will be on further enhancing our tendering capability. We’re committed to making the day-to-day usage of our tendering tools even more effective for builders as we explore larger initiatives like:
