  • Project opportunity is rising again. E1 has hit a historic high in projects published, with 10% year-on-year growth led by NSW, VIC, and SA, signalling a healthier commercial pipeline ahead.
  • Large tenders are back in force. Q3 alone saw a wave of $50m+ projects, taking total tender value to $104B for the quarter and $344B for the year so far.
  • Competition across tender rooms continues to intensify, with more subcontractors submitting quotes per package and suppliers seeing tighter shortlists and sharper pricing pressure.
  • Education, industrial, and data-centre builds are the strongest pockets of demand, while retail and office shift toward refurbs, upgrades, and mixed-use rather than mega projects.
  • Overall, as competition increases, suppliers need a clearer view of their place in the market, to influence decisions earlier, and to protect their spec position.
