Biography:

Simon Herod is GM Builder at E1, where he leads commercial strategy, product and go-to-market for the head contractor audience. He joined E1 in 2017 as a graduate and has spent 8 years across multiple GTM roles, gaining experience across all audiences in the construction network, as well as international markets.

During this time Simon has helped E1 establish its position as market leader for head contractors in AU+ NZ, whilst building and leading outbound sales teams to exponentially grow the supplier and subcontractor audiences. From 2022 to 2024, he led E1’s expansion into the UK and Ireland, growing the platform from 0 to over 10,000 users in under two years.

In 2025, Simon’s focus has been on ensuring E1’s products remain at the cutting edge, bringing AI into the head contractor product through quote analysis and workflow automation, all to ensure a reduction in manual effort and to help estimators get home on time. Outside of work, he can usually be found attempting to surf around Byronshire with his family, or following various sports teams around the globe.
